Job Summary:

Vetted is seeking a qualified Sterile Processing Tech for a travel assignment. To qualify for the travel rate, candidates must live at least 60 miles away from the facility. The role requires 2 years of experience in sterile processing, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and national and state certifications as required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
• Inspect, assemble, and package surgical instruments and supplies for sterilization.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization standards to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization procedures and equipment maintenance.
• Operate and troubleshoot sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and washer-disinfectors.
• Collaborate with surgical and clinical staff to ensure timely and efficient processing of sterile supplies.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines related to infection control and equipment handling.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2 years of experience in sterile processing or a related field.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• National and state certifications as required.
• Strong understanding of sterilization techniques and infection control standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
