The ideal Pharmacist candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional communication skills, and maintains a deep understanding of medications and their effects. A successful Pharmacist will be expected to stay current with pharmaceutical research, follow regulatory guidelines, and deliver patient-centered care. As a Pharmacist , you will also supervise pharmacy technicians and work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that each patient receives the right medication and dosage.

Job Responsibilities

Patient Experience

  • Greet patients and assist with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
  • Demonstrate and share best practices in customer service, including empathy, courtesy, and active engagement.
  • Increase awareness of available healthcare services such as consultations, medication management, and clinical services.
  • Participate in community-focused events as assigned by pharmacy leadership.

Operations

  • Counsel patients on proper medication usage, side effects, generics, and interactions, referring to providers as needed.
  • Perform pharmacist duties including compounding, verification, drug therapy reviews, and medication management.
  • Dispense medications accurately during high-demand periods.
  • Maintain pharmacy compliance with legal and procedural standards.
  • Assist with assigning roles, coordinating team activities, and managing pharmacy opening/closing procedures.
  • Apply Good Faith Dispensing practices in line with controlled substance laws.
  • Remain up-to-date on pharmacy systems, including prescription workflow, billing, inventory, and point-of-sale operations.
  • Resolve insurance claim issues and assist in third-party audits.
  • Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and address any issues.
  • Administer clinical services such as immunizations and disease state management.
  • Analyze performance data and support implementation of asset protection and inventory procedures.
  • Foster professional relationships with local healthcare providers and engage in community outreach.
  • Support centralized operations like patient registration and conduct virtual product reviews as needed.

Communication

  • Communicate updates regarding healthcare services and organizational strategies to pharmacy staff.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid pharmacist licensure in applicable state(s).
  • Knowledge and experience in prescription dispensing and controlled substance compliance.
  • Certified Immunizer, or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a retail pharmacy setting, including verification, compliance, software systems, and insurance processing.
