Job Summary:

Vetted is seeking an experienced Mammography Tech for a travel assignment. To qualify for the travel rate, candidates must live at least 60 miles away from the facility. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in mammography, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and national and state certifications as required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Prepare patients for mammographic examinations, including explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
• Operate mammography equipment and ensure accurate imaging for diagnostic purposes.
• Review images for quality and accuracy, and make necessary adjustments to capture optimal images.
• Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
• Adhere to radiation safety practices and protocols to minimize exposure.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Stay current with advancements in mammography technology and techniques.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mammography.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• National and state certification and/or licensure as required.
• Proficient in operating mammography equipment and performing imaging procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
